QED is seeking a product marketing manager to join our team in Marlton, New Jersey and develop strategic marketing initiatives to enhance business development and internet communications.
The Product Marketing Manager will work within the QED business development team to represent QED and the QED platform in social media, public relations, and marketing communications campaigns to support sales and business development activities for buy-side institutional investment plans, asset managers, wealth managers, portfolio managers, investment trading professionals, and accounting professionals.
This position is appropriate for a professional financial services candidate who has developed essential skills to think strategically about the industry and QED product solutions and who will work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to complement and provide tactical resources for product development, product management, and business development teams.
- Develop marketing plans including product and service positioning, target market assessment, product placement, marketing campaign strategies and tactics, and pipeline development and sustainment methods;
- Develop sales tools and collateral materials including prospective client presentations, case studies, value proposition white papers;
- Conduct, document, and analyze market and competitor research including product applicability to identified market segments, competitive offerings, competitive pricing, competitive dynamics, and primary and secondary market value drivers;
- Develop and execute marketing and sales campaigns in direct support of business development and customer cross-selling efforts including product placement, market assessment, message creation, collateral development, and campaign assessment, tracking, and analysis;
- Enhance, promote, and enforce corporate communication standards, brands, styles, and methods;
- Effectively use Salesforce.com to manage and record relevant marketing campaign information;
- Work with the business analysis and product development teams to support value proposition development for existing and new products and services;
- Perform other related duties as required
Education
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in finance or related discipline required;
- Advanced degree in marketing or related discipline is preferred;
- Completion of Solution Selling, Stategic Selling, or Selling Against the Competiton training is a plus;
Experience
- A minimum of five to seven years of relevant work experience in Financial Technology is required;
- Portfolio accounting, investment performance measurement and analysis, and trade order management experience is a plus;
Knowledge
- Knowledge of investments, securities, and financial accounting principles is required;
- Understanding of portfolio management and reporting methodologies is a plus;
Professional Skills
- Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of marketing, creative media and advertising concepts and functions with the ability to integrate advanced marketing principles with business needs to develop sound creative strategies is required;
- Proficiency in marketing campaign design and creation, campaign execution, and campaign monitoring, management, and analysis is required
- Proficiency in the demonstration and presentation of enterprise level software is required;
- Proficiency in competitive product offering assessment and analysis is required;
- Broad range of experience with computer software, hardware, operating systems (including Sun Microsystems and Microsoft Windows), web servers, and web clients is a plus;
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting including Jaspersoft is a plus;
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are required;
- Ability to adapt to changing client needs and priorities and to work independently and concurrently on several projects is required;
- Comfortable working on, and contributing to, a dynamic and evolving software platform;
- Excellent critical thinking and multitasking skills and the ability to maintain focus on multiple priorities with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and assignments is required;
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and discuss problems as they arise, research possible solutions as necessary, and resolve problems in a timely and satisfactory manner is required;
- Ability to travel up to 50% is required;
